Fuzzy Approach for Component Classification and Selection: An Empirical Study

Component Based Software Engineering (CBSE) provides an approach to developing software system by using software components. The aim is to develop software with high quality and less cost. The quality of the software system is based on the quality of individual software component. Component evaluation and selection is critical activity and needs a formal approach for component classification and filtration. In this paper an outline is proposed for component classification and filtration on the basis of quality using soft computing technique.
