Abstract

The investigation of market forms the centre of economics as a social science. The economics of commerce as applied economics can be analysed by investigating factual statistical figures. In Hungary, commerce is undergoing significant changes nowadays since it affects consumption. The impact is mutual.

Market is presented from a practical point of view; the composition of purchase, the features of shop network is changed because of the transformation of the factors affecting the purchase of consumers. The classification of retail trade according to several viewpoints, the range of arrangement of trade data show the modification following the crisis.
