Author Guidelines

The Asian Journal of Agriculture and Food Sciences (AJAFS) accepts original research articles, review papers, and short communications in the fields of agriculture and food sciences.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts should be prepared using the AJAFS manuscript template, available in Microsoft Word format.
  • Submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) PDF files may be used only for reference purposes and not as the primary editable submission file.
  • Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English.
  • In-text citations should follow a numerical citation style, indicated by numbers in square brackets (e.g., [1]).
  • References should be listed in the order in which they appear in the text.

Submission Conditions

  • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.
  • All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the work and approved the submitted version.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining any required institutional, ethical, or regulatory approvals prior to submission.

Submission Method

  • All manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal’s submission system.
    Submissions sent by email will not be considered.

Correspondence

Authors are advised to regularly check their email (including spam or junk folders) for correspondence from the journal. To ensure delivery of journal communications, authors may add @ajouronline.com to their email safe list.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that:

  • The submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • The manuscript file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF
  • The manuscript follows the formatting and reference style outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • All figures, tables, and illustrations are included within the text at appropriate locations.
  • Where available, URLs or DOIs for references have been provided.
  • The manuscript has been reviewed for clarity, grammar, and completeness.
  • If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the authors agree to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 100 for articles up to 10 pages, with an additional USD 10 per page for extra pages.
