These blanks have been formed by two different methods of rubber pad forming and mandrel and matrix forming. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of using rubber instead of matrix at tailor welded blank formability. Dome height test is done on the specimens with the thickness of 0.5, 0.6, 0.8 and 1 millimeter and result Formability for each case are compared. This is followed by a numerical and experimental study of formability. It is concluded that using rubber pad forming (RPF) causes a reduction in formability.</p> ER -
